Introduction:
As a freelance 3D artist at Schawk SGK, I created the Mediterranean Apartment to showcase my CGI skills in producing room sets for Laura Ashley's website. This image demonstrates my proficiency in Cinema4D, Marvelous Designer, and Photoshop.
Scope:
• I Modelled, Textured, Lit and Rendered realistic 3D room sets to replace outdated photography on Laura Ashley's website.
Challenges:
• Achieving realism proved challenging due to the grey colour scheme. However, I addressed this by adjusting the scale of items, varying surface properties, and optimizing focal length to enhance depth perception.
Execution:
• I mastered the creation of foliage and plants using simple geometry and images, which added depth and contrast to the grey color palette, enhancing realism. I particularly liked the Gobo effect caused by the Palm's shadows through the window
Takeaways:
• This project emphasized the importance of persistence and creative problem-solving in meeting client needs.
